Refund & Cancellation Policy

Knight is a digital software-as-a-service product licensed to universities, research institutions and teams. There are no physical goods and no shipping. The price, the number of users and the term of each licence are set out in the written quote or agreement for that institution.

Licence fees are non-refundable. Once access has been switched on for an institution's users, no refund is given for the licence term, in whole or in part, including for unused seats, unused time or unused features.

A payment made in error — the same invoice paid twice, or an amount charged above the invoiced amount — is not a licence fee, and the excess is returned to the account it came from once our records confirm it.

A licence runs for the term in its agreement. An institution can choose not to renew by telling us in writing before the term ends; access then continues until the end of the paid term. Cancelling during a term stops renewal but does not end the term early or create a refund.

Individuals can create an account and try Knight without paying. Access beyond the trial is provided through an institutional licence.
